CPR for Healthcare Providers (Basic Life Support)
This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. For certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals.

CPR & AED for the Community and Workplace
The goal of this course is to provide individuals with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective basic life support in an emergency and what to do in the case of an airway obstruction or choking. Additionally, this course has been found acceptable for meeting requirements established by state child care licensing, a wide variety of professional state and federal agencies, associations, councils, academies, and boards. The curriculum is consistent with widely accepted guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.  This course can be taught with or without the AED component.

Heartsaver CPR
This course is a modular course that teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child, and infant victims. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children. The program is divided into a choice of 3 different courses:
1. Heartsaver CPR for All Ages: teaches CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction in the adult, infant, and child.
2. Heartsaver CPR for Adults: teaches CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for the adult.
3. Heartsaver CPR for Infants and Children: teaches CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for infants (birth to 1 year of age) and children (1 year to 8 years of age).

Automatic External Defibrillation (AED)
Having personal on-site that are expertly trained in the use of Automated External Defibrillation provides the victim with rapid defibrillation access before EMS arrival, greatly increasing the chance of survival.  Training includes recognition of unresponsive victims, review of equipment operation and maintenance, discussion of treatment and valuable hands-on practice designed to increase skills.  CPR certification is a prerequisite or can be added to this course.  Students also learn about using barrier devices in CPR and giving first aid for choking. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of 4 major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and foreign-body airway obstruction.

Basic First Aid
Properly applied first aid can save lives, reduce recovery time and quite possibly mean the difference between temporary disability or lifelong disability for the victim.  Program participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. This program was reviewed by and meets the guidelines of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration and the Department of Transportation. It has also been accepted for training day care personnel and adult care staff in all states. Crucial information about how to deal with emergencies like shock, burns, strains, strokes and seizures is shared.  To provide a complete health and safety training solution, adult CPR and AED can be added to this course.

Bloodborne Pathogens ( 29 CFR 1910.11030 )
This program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others.  The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.

CPR for Family and Friends
This course is a modular course that teaches rescuers skills in CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. It presents information about the AHA adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. The course also presents information on the AHA pediatric infant and child Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of sudden infant death syndrome, and prevention of the most common fatal injuries in infants and children.

Child & Babysitting Safety (CABS)

Essentials in Basic Emergency Care
This program is designed to arm laypersons with the minimum knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency care for the injury or sudden illness before advanced care arrives. The four modules include:

  • Emergency Action Steps: Assessment of the Scene and Victim

  • Basic Life Support (includes Airway Management, CPR, AED, and Emergency Oxygen

  • Bloodborne Pathogens

  • Basic First Aid: Care for injuries and Sudden Illness

Following successful completion of this course, a student should be able to quickly access the scene and victim and provide appropriate care for the victim(s) until advanced care arrives.

Emergency Oxygen Administration
Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for cardiac arrest or brain damage. Supplemental oxygen is a critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening illness or injury. This class focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing, and oxygen delivery devices.
